Financial Security
Financial security is what most people are trained to seek once they leave school or college. It is as it name implies; security in terms of finances. This usually means that in order to obtain financial security, people seek employment, or a job to obtain a salary.
While this is all fine and dandy, one must note that there is no such thing as a JOB SECURITY. In these times and age, no one's job is safe nor is it permanent. As much as you toil and sweat, at the end of the day, your job is not secured. You may be at any time, be retrenched or downsized.
Thus, this effectively means that financial security is also not secured. Robert Kiyosaki maintains that it is better and in fact, smarter to head towards Financial Freedom.
Financial Freedom
What is financial freedom then? When you achieve financial freedom, you can live your lifestyle your way without having to work. Sounds corny? For many, this is one concept that is very difficult to accept.
Imagine living your desired lifestyle without having to work. You can go shopping, dining and hang out as usual without having to work. You "work" IF and WHEN you WANT to. Imagine fulfillment in ALL areas of your life!!
Which would you prefer?
