Wealth Awareness Workshop (30 May 2010)
On the 30th of May 2010, the Success Warrior Ambassador (SWA) conducted its biweekly Wealth Awareness Workshop at our center here at Kota Damansara.
This time round, we had a total number of 22 participants, all eager to learn more about financial FREEDOM.
As mentioned in our previous posts, we share with our participants and members about financial knowledge via the CASHFLOW 101 gameboard.
Designed by Robert Kiyosaki, it is one of the most effective and fun methods used in increasing financial knowledge!

What is Financial Freedom?
Often people are confused between Financial Security and Financial Freedom. Here in this blog entry, let's explore the difference between the two, often confusing terms.
(For our purposes, the definitions are obtained from the Rich Dad, Poor Dad written by Robert Kiyosaki.)
Financial Security
Financial security is what most people are trained to seek once they leave school or college. It is as it name implies; security in terms of finances. This usually means that in order to obtain financial security, people seek employment, or a job to obtain a salary.
While this is all fine and dandy, one must note that there is no such thing as a JOB SECURITY. In these times and age, no one's job is safe nor is it permanent. As much as you toil and sweat, at the end of the day, your job is not secured. You may be at any time, be retrenched or downsized.
Thus, this effectively means that financial security is also not secured. Robert Kiyosaki maintains that it is better and in fact, smarter to head towards Financial Freedom.
Financial Freedom
What is financial freedom then? When you achieve financial freedom, you can live your lifestyle your way without having to work. Sounds corny? For many, this is one concept that is very difficult to accept.
Imagine living your desired lifestyle without having to work. You can go shopping, dining and hang out as usual without having to work. You "work" IF and WHEN you WANT to. Imagine fulfillment in ALL areas of your life!!
Which would you prefer?
If you chose the first choice (Financial Security), you need to read any further.
If you prefer the latter (Financial Freedom), there's no better way to learn it other than through the Cashflow Game itself!!
Simply by playing this game, you will better understand the concept of Financial Freedom. Ultimately you will train yourself to see PASSIVE Income Opportunities and be Financially Savvy.
